Grenada permits individuals to have dual citizenship, and citizenship can also be granted to family members like a spouse, dependent children, and dependent parents.
The two pathways available for obtaining citizenship through investment in Grenada are:
The NTF, a Government fund, finances projects that support Grenada's economy and aid in its diversification. Those who opt for this option must provide a single payment to the NTF. It is crucial to emphasize that candidates are not allowed to directly make contributions to the NTF, but instead, they must engage the services of an Authorized Local Agent.
The approval process for a citizenship by investment project starts with the Citizenship by Investment Committee, which evaluates potential projects and suggests them to the Minister. The Minister ultimately determines whether to endorse the project, and announces their approval in the Gazette.
At present, most of the endorsed projects are real estate developments located on the island of Grenada. These consist of high-end hotels, resorts, and villas. Individuals who opt to fund a sanctioned project are required to carry out the investment using a Licensed Local Agent.
