Malta

Malta is famous for its beautiful architecture, scenic cliffs, breathtaking coastline and dive sites. Malta Grants Citizenship by Direct Investment Regulations (S.L. 188.06) to foreign individuals and their families who contribute to the country’s economic development. Malta also promotes a Global Residence Program that grants Permanent Residence to investors who rent or purchase real estate properties starting from EUR 10,000.

Greece

The Greece Golden Visa program allows investors and dependants to obtain an EU residency against real estate investment and access the world at large. One of the most attractive features of this program is the investment amount being significantly smaller starting at EUR 250,000 compared to other European programs. Visa-free access to the Schengen area and a pathway toward Greek citizenship after seven years of residency are some of its benefits.

Italy

Meet one of the three prerequisites listed below to qualify for Italian residence:

  • At least two million euros' worth of Italian government bonds
  • A minimum of EUR 500,000 in Italian shares (EUR 250,000 if funds are invested in start-ups with innovative business models)
  • A minimum of EUR 1 million toward public interest initiatives in Italy in the fields of research and development, arts, heritage, education, ecology, immigration control, and culture. The donation is not refundable. The investment must be kept up for the duration of the visa. Without incurring any further costs, the primary applicant's spouse, kids, and dependent parents may also apply for a visa.

 

Elective Residency: An additional qualifying option is the Elective Residence Program, which is appropriate for people who can demonstrate that they make a certain amount of consistent income each year from overseas.

Cyprus

Located in the heart of the Mediterranean at the confluence of Europe, Africa and Asia, Cyprus is an ideal place for raising families and businesses. Cyprus boasts of its membership with the EU, low tax rates, and unrestricted right to live, work, and study in Europe. 

Cyprus offers numerous investment opportunities,  and fast-track procedures towards citizenship without the requirement of physical residence and language requirements. The minimum investment towards residency starts at 300,000 euros through real estate and citizenship could be obtained with a minimum investment of 2 million euros.

Latvia

One of the quickest and most competitive programs in Europe is the Latvia Residence by Investment Program.

 

  • Invest EUR 50,000 in a Latvian company's equity capital (as long as the business pays at least EUR 40,000 in taxes each year).
  • Make a single, EUR 10,000 payment to the state coffers.

 

Furthermore, candidates must show that they have the resources to support their family's standard of living without needing to apply for Latvian government social assistance:

  • EUR 15,480 annually for a primary applicant alone;
  • EUR 20,640 annually for a primary applicant and spouse
  • The annual income of a married couple with one child is EUR 22,188.

 

As an alternative, candidates may purchase real estate in Latvia for a minimum of EUR 250,000 and pay a state fee equal to 5% of the purchase price.

Residence by Investment

Portugal

The Portugal Golden Visa program grants a five-year residence based on investment for non-EU nationals. The holders of this visa gain access to live, work, and study in the country. Moreover, it provides the convenience of visa-free travel to European and Schengen countries. To qualify under this program applicants need to make an investment ranging between EUR 200,000  to EUR 500,000 depending on the investment options chosen by the investor. Apart from this, Portugal also offers passive income visas, digital nomad visas, residency permits for study purposes, and so on.
